Catalina Monastery or Monastery of St. Catherine of Siena, attached to the Church of St. Catherine of Siena, in the block bounded by San Martin, Viamonte, Reconquista and Cordoba in Retiro, Buenos Aires, was the first monastery for women in the city of Buenos Aires, one of the oldest and most prestigious of the city during its colonial era and is closely linked to the country's history.
