B uilt by Amenhotep III (1386 - 1349 BC), the temple was originally connected to the Karnak temple complex with a corridor lined by statues of sphinxes.  It is dedicated to Amun, Mut and Khons. Retained as part of the temple are structures from Thutmose III and Hatshepsut.  Excavation work has been going on since 1885.

This was the last stop in a very busy day.  I did not have a chance to treat it fairly.
