During the spring of 2003, I took a Greek ferry from Venice to Patras in the Peloponnese. The ferry was the Ikarus Palace. The trip required more than 24 hours. It was very pleasant, a brief break from the effort of maximizing sightseeing. I was finishing a tour of Italy and going to visit a friend building a villa in Stoupa. In general when I go on a trip of some distance, I prefer to see as many things as possible to capitalize of the investment of time in crossing the Atlantic, Pacific. etc. This was a very nice change.
